Favoritism Forbidden

Sometimes we treat some people like their higher than the person next to them. For example, we’re nicer to our friends but to others, we just ignore them or are rude to them. God doesn’t show favoritism for anyone not even Jesus, he loves us all equally.

{James 2:1 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism.}

“What Goes Around, Comes Around”

Jesus taught his followers to be considerate of others, to treat others with dignity and kindness. He said you should do for others the kinds of things you’d like them to do for you. We aren’t supposed to love others in order to get something from them. Jesus reminds us to treat others the way we want to be treated, but we should not abide this so we can get something out of it, but so that when we show respect Jesus will make sure we’re treated with respect. Like the saying goes, “What Goes around, comes around”.

{Proverbs 16:2 “People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives”}

Solid as a Rock

Jesus told his disciples that their lives would be rough sometimes. During tests and trials, we should stand firm. Only by patiently enduring will we have eternal life. So stand firm to the end—such perseverance is a sure sign of your salvation. Sometimes we don’t like to act different from others like different beliefs, different attitudes, and so on, So we decide to just follow the crowd. We should let other people talk down on us just because we’re Christians. If we know people who say they don’t believe in God and say they won’t be your friend if you’re a Christian, then just forget them, stand for what you believe and don’t let what other people say change the way you believe.

{ Psalm 37:7 “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes”}

“RESPECT, It’s More Than Just A Word”

It’s not just a word, it’s an action, it’s a statement, respect you have or you don’t. If you have respect, people will treat you with respect. Granted not every person you meet will show you respect, but if you respect others, God will reward you will respect from other people. Like the golden rule; Do onto others, as you would have them to do onto you.

James 1:19-20 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

The Difference Between Faith and Hope

There isn’t much of a difference with faith and hope, their both every similar. Faith is believing in something even though you can’t see it. Hope is our expectation of  Jesus, walking the Earth with us. We can’t see God, but we still believe in him. It’s like air we can’t see air, we can’t feel air, but we know it’s there, because we have faith and the hope that it’s truly there, the same with how we believe God is real and just something someone made up.

{Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. “}

Shoot For The Moon

Ya know that old saying “Shoot for the Moon”? Well what it’s saying is that we shouldn’t be afraid to go for the gold, reach for the sky. In other words, that we should not be scared to go for what we want. We don’t need to fear that we’ll fail, even if we do, there’s always a second chance. Being afraid means that you’re a victim of the Devil. He sees your failure and takes that opportunity to make you feel even worse, but we can’t let get to us like that. Bottom line, don’t be afraid to go for your goal, shoot for the moon.

{Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.}

The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Remember that old story about the little boy who claimed he saw a wolf trying to eat the sheep? And you wonder why would he lie about seeing a wolf when there wasn’t one? Attention. He wanted attention because everyone was busy. No one knew that he wanted to play and he didn’t exactly let them know that’s what he wanted. Lying can get you killed just like that boy, he cried wolf once, twice, and on the third time there really was a wolf but no one believe him, so the wolf ate him.

{Proverbs 14:5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.}
